La pasión según aldosivi: el “otro” y los combates por la identidad

A partir del concepto antropológico de identidad se intenta explorar la manera en que hinchas de fútbol de un equipo de la tercera división argentina elaboran sus propias teorías acerca de la pasión. En esas construcciones consiguen diferenciarse de sus rivales mezclando referencias de clase, de etnicidad, de género o actitudes hacia la violencia, quedando envueltos en disputas permanentes (muchas de ellas violentas) por sostener el honor grupal. En estos combates por la identidad las distintas representaciones en juego son manipuladas por los sectores de poder que generan “mercados de violencia” que luego rechazan desde lo discursivo.

This paper aim at analyzing the way the anthropological concept of identity operates among football supporters in a small team of the third division in Argentina, who elaborates their own theories about the passion. In these representations, they construct the difference with their rivals, mixing up class, ethnic and gender references and attitudes towards violence. Then, they are involved in permanent disputes (much of them are very violent) in the supporting of the group honor. In these combats for the identity, the representations are manipulated by groups of power that generate “markets of violence” but reject from the discourse.
